How do I map buttons and axis of my joystick to OpenArena?

(I realize most people prefer mouse and keyboard, I don't)

Joysticks work in Quake3/ OA but the support is really clunky. Using a dual shock 2, I find the easy bots to be quite challenging. I can't recommend it at this time.

If you use Windows, a joystick mouse emulator may do what you want.
