Title: is there a script to make maps darker? Post by: hyp3rfocus on August 12, 2007, 06:55:14 AM i've got a map that i need to make darker in game. is there a script that could do this?
thanks. Title: Re: is there a script to make maps darker? Post by: fromhell on August 12, 2007, 10:04:06 AM If this were Quake or Quake2, yes because the lightstyles can be changed on the fly. Quake3 has no lightstyles (dynamic lighting on maps) so this isn't possible

Post by: hyp3rfocus on August 12, 2007, 10:52:59 AM that's a shame. i was playing some maps that were compiled for a different game and the brightness settings were radically different. i can drop the brightnesss, but that affects everything else, not just the map. i suppose i could extract the lightmaps and alter the brightness in gimp.

Title: Re: is there a script to make maps darker? Post by: fromhell on August 12, 2007, 11:44:14 AM the sky is dark, that's why. I want a brighter sky for it though that bounces more. Kaos2 was supposed to be bright, but I couldn't compile it to test the sky
