EDIT : for who doesn't know VoO -> http://challenge-tv.com/demos/browse/search:vo0

Hurrah, i got it working. in the reply falkland or someone else will surely tell a lot easier way but

I figured out how to watch Q3 demo;s using OA.

I already downloaded the complete svn another time,

all i had to do was make sure the map they played on was there, and the models they chose were there

I downloaded http://challenge-tv.com/demos/download/35326 vo0 Vs zero4 on the map ztn3tourney1
the models used were Xaero, mynx, and visor (at least those were the ones OA was complaining about)

it needed to be in the gamefolder cpma-1 so i made a symlink to cpma called cpma-1

in the hidden openarena baseoa folder i made folder models/players/
i copied the penguin modelfolder from the svn models/players folder and renamed it to Xaero, and made to symlinks
to it called visor and mynx. The painsounds were missing but i could watch the whole demo to the end.
