Im having problems with playing OA in linux. Many time (9 out of 10) gnome mouse cursor sticks right in the middle of the screen. Its really anoying and with 800x600 my cursos takes a lot of space.

Any idea what the problem is.

I think its problem with time when game is changing resolutions. Nothing similar (with same settings) happens in winxp.

I have intel x3100 graphic card. Similar problems occur when Im running Starcraft over wine.

What distro and version are you using?  Are you using Compiz or similar?

I have upgraded Xorg to 7.4 and now cursor gets hidden. I am using arch BTW. Now every thing seems to be normal.

Thanks anyway

Do not move the mouse while starting the game Cheesy

Try switching from windowed mode to fullscreen, this can help to make it disappear.

Alt enter and than changing to other aplications does get rid of the coursor but when I get back in to game cursor (now black one differs from one that Im using).

The most effective way is like Cacatoes states without moving the mouse. But that is not the solution right?

Hope that this gets somehow solved in next versions.
