Files:
Blender (http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/)
Blender MD3 Import/Export (http://download.tuxfamily.org/openarena/other/blender/md3blender20080823.zip)
3D Exploration 1.5 (http://www.davidhsmith.net/downloaditems/3dexplor1_5.exe)

Blender Info:
1. To import md3 put the *.py-files into your .blender/scripts wich wil reside either in the blender folder (win) or in your home directory(lnx)
2. If you don't see any scripts in blender(empty menues) you are probably running linux and there is a version problem with your Python-Interpreter. (your python version is too new and can't run the old python scripts)

maybe I'll add more to this list, but especially the
last link should provide alot of info. (for modelers too)

If there are any suggestions, additions and questions
or maybe a request for another video on a particular topic please post in this thread.

regards, unR

i updated the initial post.
plz suggest things that might need to be added.

+i don't know how to add this to the wiki.
++i uploaded the md3-import/export-plug to my personal webspace.
my webspace folders are browsable/donT support direct file downloads.
i'd wish to replace the link.
could anyone upload this anywhere else?

I don't know how can we consider the license of it, but if it's opensource I can upload it to some safe place.

if this is the script by PhaethonH (wich i dont know since there is no readme in the zip)
then the licence is as following

Licence: Copyright 2004 PhaethonH. Permission granted to use, copy, distribute, and modify, provided this copyright notice remains intact. Software is provided as-is, with absolutely no warranty of any kind.

i just took a look inside the script itself, it is by PaethonH.

if you upload it you might wanna repack the zip with a license.txt
including the above.

:S wasn't this script GPL at one point?

I'm not sure, but those the wording on those terms looks like a terse MIT/X11 license.

f0rqu3 recently uploaded a newer test version with a small change to the exporter (http://code.google.com/p/tremx/downloads/list?can=4).

Some shortened MIT, right.
Added a license.txt file in.
