I figured OpenArena is popular enough I figured i'd make this thread for any sightings, hearings of this in any media.

To start things off, zakk pointed out in Games for Windows 1/12/2007's podcast that OpenArena was mentioned 12 minutes in, and is talked about in the last two minutes.

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

OpenArena has been advertised in
- linuxfr : a french-speaking news site about linux and free software http://linuxfr.org/2006/12/13/21768.html
- jeuxlibres : a french-speaking  site promoting libre games http://jeuxlibres.net/news/98.html   and a page about the game is always available at http://jeuxlibres.net/showgame/openarena.html

I mentioned it in a listing of free multiplayer games that I wrote in my blog a few weeks back.  I hope to do a full review soon.

Yeah but digg isn't a third party source of articles - just links, and a short description.
