Title: Re: NetRadiant Help Post by: sago007 on June 06, 2010, 04:15:29 AM OK, the first bit of help i need is how do i get a .bsp to .map? You don't. You make .map into .bsp. The map-files for the official openarena maps are located in svn: http://openarena.ws/svn/source/assets/maps/ You can find other map-files around this forum. Title: Re: NetRadiant Help Post by: PWNAGE on June 06, 2010, 04:24:08 AM Cool Thanks

Title: Re: NetRadiant Help Post by: sago007 on June 06, 2010, 04:49:36 AM Is there some kind of converter for this maps? I have used GtkRadiant 1.4 that can open QuArK maps and saves in the new format.Title: Re: NetRadiant Help Post by: Peter Silie on June 06, 2010, 04:52:02 AM Maybe the relevant map files in oas repository (basesx...) could be converted to one format?
Title: Re: NetRadiant Help Post by: andrewj on June 06, 2010, 04:59:01 AM Small note: Some of the map files on svn are made with QuArK and cannot be opened by NetRadiant. NetRadiant can read them, but you need to change a setting somewhere for the different format, let's see.... It is in preferences and is called Settings / Brush / Use alternative texture projection.Unfortunately NetRadiant cannot convert between the formats (changing that setting after loading the map does NOT work). Title: Re: NetRadiant Help Post by: PWNAGE on June 06, 2010, 05:03:12 AM I dont understand this netradiant crap. To confusing
I want to contribute somehow, but i dont know how, i have tried skinning, making a server and mapping idk what i can possibly do Title: Re: NetRadiant Help Post by: chaoticsoldier on June 06, 2010, 06:11:41 AM I dont understand this netradiant crap. To confusing I'd say the trick is not to dabble in things (especially many things at once). Pick the one thing you'd like to do and really study it. ;)I want to contribute somehow, but i dont know how, i have tried skinning, making a server and mapping idk what i can possibly do Start with the basics and work your way up. Realistically, it could be a few months or more before you're ready to contribute something, who knows. I taught myself spreadsheets just by reading all the help files. It didn't happen overnight. Now I can make sense of functions like this: Code: =IF(K424=1;0;IF(AND(Q448="Yes";M424<Q449);$Stats.$L$33-IF(E424<H424;FLOOR((($Stats.$L$33*(100-M424))/100);2;1);CEILING((($Stats.$L$33*M424)/100);2;1));IF(E424<H424;FLOOR((($Stats.$L$33*(100-M424))/100);2;1);CEILING((($Stats.$L$33*M424)/100);2;1)))) It might look confusing, but things that look confusing at first can sometimes be a lot simpler than you think. Textures are one of the most missing things in oa i guess... Hmm, yes i see a lot of missing texture throughout the gameTextures are one of the most missing things in oa i guess... |
