hey I made a little video
OpenArena MidAir Gameplay

nothing special,
i'm just happy that some q3mods work with OA and especially this one
i love midair since qw, though in qw they'd beat me by -20 Cheesy
anyway this mod that is supposed to provide better bots for practice
has a midair feature and this is what you see in the video

YouTube Descriptions here
"This is OpenArena with the Quake3 Spiterbot Mod wich supports Midair Gameplay (Hits only count when enemy is in the air, the higher the more damage, RL only)

Basically what you do is, you aim for the feet to make him fly high and then you'll try your best to hit that AirRocket. Beautiful frags!

The Map is EndIfAcid, wich is a remake of the famous endif QW map.

---
If anybody is willing to setup a server like this please post a comment,
playing against bots is lame Sad
"

Last sentence conveys my wishes the most.
Hope you have fun trying this out.

There were also some servers with airwaves mod, it's a rocket friendly mod, but I don't know if it has that mid-air feature, and I don't know if it's still online.
I'd be interested to try that one, I was wondering if I could set up a server for it but I may not have a spare one (except one with an average ping, IP is: 88.160.192.237).
I suppose we can play any map and any game mode with it, there may be maps more appropriate than others.
Similarly I had am_galmevish in TDM allrockets and I kinda like it but it's often skipped by CTFers, even if I made it short game (40 frags to reach in TDM 5vs5 isn't much)

Spiterbots are the base of CPMA bots : I guess you were challenging bots at nightmare level ( 5 ) , but those bots have 100 difficulty levels.

If they are working as the CPMA bots , they become to be really hard starting by level 81.

i know the difference and I already dueled apheleon and spite on 80, 90 & 100 and lost very hard.
still... playing against bots is lame.

I mentioned it because I don't play the mod for its skillfull bots
but for its midair feature.
