Title: Error: Client/Server Game Mismatch Post by: tolstoybikeboy on September 19, 2007, 06:47:12 PM hi, i must be a nub cause i can't figure out why the game won't work.
i had previously played openarena over the summer. i just recently went to install the game on a fresh OS install. I installed from the ubuntu repositories. Everything seemed to install fine and I can get the game setup but when i click Fight to enter a game I get the following message: "Client/Server Game Mismatch: BaseQ3-1/BaseOA-1". I downloaded the lastest patch and tried placing it in the baseoa directory as specified. How exactly do I install the patch...is this my problem? I think maybe I am doing that wrong? I am running Ubuntu 7.04 64bit. Title: Re: Error: Client/Server Game Mismatch Post by: digitalhead on September 19, 2007, 07:50:47 PM The version in the repos is outdated: 0.60. You should download the new version and the patch from the OA website. It's 0.70 + 0.71 patch. The mismatch error is because the server is running a different version.
