I was wondering if anyone had any tweaks for better bandwidth usage, to help improve my ping. I connect to the internet by hooking a Verizon Cell Phone to my pc via USB. After that you just connect with a dialer (i use KPPP - PCLinuxOS 2007 user). My ping now is 175-200 which is too high to play online. I was just hoping someone had some tweaks, let me know! You can have a look at this : http://ucguides.savagehelp.com/Quake3/connection.html (URL well hidden in OA wiki). It applies to Q3, but it's the same with OA. I'm not sure it will improve your ping significantly. |
