Title: OA isn't recognizing extra buttons on Mouse Post by: HITMAN on December 11, 2008, 11:08:32 AM I have Logitech G5 laser mouse. I'm able to set weapons for the scroll wheel, mouse 1, mouse 2 and mouse 3 buttons but I have 2 extra buttons that I cannot set items/commands on. The game will either think its mouse 3 again or it just won't recognize anything. I'm using OA 081 (and loving it). I have the mouse drivers installed but that doesnt seem to do anything. Any idea why this happens? Or is this known issue?
Thanks...TheHitman Title: Re: OA isn't recognizing extra buttons on Mouse Post by: sittingduck on December 11, 2008, 02:42:48 PM Try binding the mouse buttons to keys in the mouse software.
My logitech mx518 is set up like so: left and right click is normal Wheel click is BACKSPACE thumb buttons are ESC and ENTER button above wheel is F8 button below wheel is / button below that is ctrl + w All but the last one work in-game. Title: Re: OA isn't recognizing extra buttons on Mouse Post by: PsYthe on December 11, 2008, 10:27:22 PM For me mouse1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 work fine, but it will not let me set the other buttons in the controls menu, it doesn't respond to those buttons for some reason.
In the software for my mouse (Razer Diamondback 3G), I can set it to a key instead of mouse button, but it does nothing. I can tell it to be a macro, which works, but lags. Maybe I should play around with it more. Title: Re: OA isn't recognizing extra buttons on Mouse Post by: jessicaRA on December 25, 2008, 11:47:31 AM for me it only allows the usual 3, i just have them act as keyboard keys instead to use them

with 0.8.1 on mac os x mouse4 binds fine. I use only numbers so fpr example pushing mousewheel to left is 1, push right is 2 sensitivy up is 3 sens down is 4 etc. I use the original mouse-software. No problems here with setting keys Hope u fox your problem soon Title: Re: OA isn't recognizing extra buttons on Mouse Post by: HITMAN on January 05, 2009, 10:42:40 AM Good ideas!! I'll try them out.

The main problem that i have encountered is that i cannot press mouse1 and mouse2 at the same time. when pressed simultaniously nothing happens at all, making it very frustrating as i cannot rocket jump or do any other cool moves =D any ideas why this could be? any help would be greatly appreciated,
thx bio Title: Re: OA isn't recognizing extra buttons on Mouse Post by: Neon_Knight on March 19, 2011, 05:16:27 AM Did you try with another mouse? A clean OA config?

I believe it counts as a middle mouse button click. It is quite common to have "Emulate 3 button mouse" enabled on Linux because the 3th mouse button is so important. It is usually defined in /etc/X11/xorg.conf |
