Title: No mouse on Linux :(
Post by: ioozef on December 20, 2008, 01:04:16 PM
When I play on Linux (ubuntu 8.10) and switch the resolution to 1280x800, mouse stops moving at all :(
On all lower resolutions everything is OK, and on Windows mouse works on all resolutions...
I'm (almost) sure it's not a hardware problem - I have C2D 2.0GHz, GF Go 7600 and the mouse is a standard laptop usb mouse.
Has anyone an idea how to get my mouse working?

Disable compiz. It helped me with that.

Code:
metacity --replace

To re-enable it, after you've exit from the game:

Code:
compiz --replace

ok, it works, BUT every executing of this command makes the window manager crash, so I have to reboot the computer (or at least restart X) :/ Maybe do you know a *safer* method to temporarily turn off Compiz?
