Title: Lightning Gun Xp vs Vista Post by: E]x[F-RoBoJeW on January 03, 2009, 10:40:41 AM I have been playing Open Arena for a while now,
I started when I had XP, When I used to play it. everytime I would get the Lightning Gun and shoot it. It would curve and stay off center from the Crosshair, This was only when I would move around trying to hit a moving target. Flass Foward to when I got my new computer with Vista, All of a sudden everytime I would shoot the LG, the beam would be in a straight line and not move. In fact it moved with the Crosshair. No matter how much I moved it was always a straight Beam. Well yesterday I installed Xp on this new computer. and now the LG is back to how it was. Why is that? With 1, the beam will stay straight as it is calculated according to client side aiming, whereas with 0 it reflects lag. Title: Re: Lightning Gun Xp vs Vista Post by: sago007 on January 03, 2009, 12:20:16 PM If you use "Delag hitscan" the LG will shoot straight because the lag is compensated.
