Title: Delta ParseEntitiesNum too old
Post by: kilgore on June 21, 2009, 05:33:35 AM
Since upgrading to Ubuntu 9.04 I keep getting this message in connection with a lag.  My ping is always low, I play on the same servers I always played on.  Every couple of minutes the screen freezes, it tells me "Connection Interrupted", and I see the ParseEntitiesNum thing in the console.

I have reduced my maxFPS, and maxpackets, as well as my snaps.  The problem persists.

I have no programs running in the backround, no downloads in progress, a fast connection that only I am using and nothing eating my bandwidth.

Any ideas?

I used to get that all the time.
Cured it by putting more ram in my machine.
HTH

hm, I have 2GB of RAM.  That should be more than enough to play OA without any disturbance.  Besides, I played with this machine all the time without having that problem.  After the upgrade it started.

thanks chaotic, i had read that one already.  Makes sense.  I solved it basically by just playing over ethernet (thanks, feidi!).  Its something in my wireless connection thats causing the problem.  I guess its much smoother over ethernet anyway.....

I agree 2Gb should be more than enough. I have 512Mb in mine. WOW
