Hi guys.

I made a couple of video's in openarena.
It was really easy just following instructions i found on this forum.
/record filename
/stoprecord
/demo filename
/video
/stopvideo
convert the file and upload it.
I converted it like this: (hopefully it does not contain smileys.)

Anyways, Here are my vids. please give lots of stars and comment on the matches/jumps to help the videos gain popularity on youtube

I made and posted these vids in just the last 2 days. (but the demos were sometimes older)
So it is really easy and i hope you will try it too, (if you havent yet)

AnyWay ... nice videos ... maybe the audio sounds a bit too much "metallic"

Honestly, I dont know. But he is the best player i have ever seen. He changed to Vo0 from unnamedplayer. (and back and forth a few times) His ping was what i would expect from him, and it was not cortex.
Maybe i'll post a full match from him soon (i have a demo from this jump guy)

If he typed "blaat" even once , he's him for sure :D

in on of the vids i had gamma screwed up, in another s_volume.
I thought they were good enough to post anyway and instead of spending one hour waiting
while my computer redoes the steps, it is better spend doing other vids.

Goddammit, the way you convert the video with the command line is scary.

Kids, don't jump to conclusions that quick, there actually are GUI tools to do all this without remembering obscure random strings of commands.

I think I've seen the same Vo0 you guys talking about. But who could know if it's the real Vo0 or not? (he didn't say "blaat" either :))

All I know is that he was really really really good. Here's a demo:

I just copied it from somewhere and changed the bitrate.
I dont remember that command line by heart . I just cut & paste it and change the filenames
but i do understand most of the arguments

@chaotic soldier, he uses a different name and different model, but the movements are pretty similar.
Maybe ask cortex if this is him, because he uses the same model as cortex

From what I saw, I'd say cortex was better.

Yes vo0 is fun to watch and judging by his techniques, the guy i taped could very well be vo0.
His circle jump is quite special, switching strafedirection rapidly in the first jump.

But then again, i dont really care wheter it was really vo0 that pwnd or somebody else under his nick.
it was pwn, and that is what matters.

I am quite new to the whole 1v1 world, so could you say something more about the maps.
Which ones are the most popular, which ones are people allready fed up with.
Would that list of maps make for a popular mapcycle ?

dm6ish or oa_dm6 seems to be not bad map for 1v1 (same as nodm13)

I think there's no need in mapcycle for 1v1 server, people will just vote maps they want to play.

davidd , I've seen that u have set up a server running spiterbot ( ver 0.52 -> 2003 )


Well the original author of the spiterbot AI is "Qrealka" ... co-developer also of the latest CPMA mod ( ver. 1.47 )
Most of his work was integrated in the CPMA bots scheme ( cpma bots have all the spiterbots characteristics ) and of course many updates and bugfixes were added to the new code.
