Title: WAD2BSP (no .MAP)

Is it possible to convert a Doom WAD map into a Quake/2/3 BSP directly without any .MAP creation?


Advantages:

- less messy brushwork outputted
- lighting can be sampled from the sectors directly into the lightmap

For Quake it would probably work better.  Would be nice to automatically convert doors too.

Quake 2 and 3 need brushes for collision detection, so there is not much gained by a direct conversion (except for lightmaps).

Platform Linedefs would be the worst thing to approixmate - :(

Heh big bulky lifts going up and down would look weird in Quake.
