medium range: rocket launcher short range: railgun or lightning gun only if projectiles were delagged in vanilla OpenArena... on servers with 150+ ping for me, rocket launcher and lightning gun become way too lagged to be useful. And the answer is Lighting Gun. Kills quickly, helps clears crowds/campers and able to push allies. Not other weapon can do all these.

Everybody who could possibly see you would die instantly (only a fresh MH and a fresh RA could save you), even if they weren't in the water at all. Crossing the pool was the only way to get to the only RL on the map, so you were never short of innocent victims. >:D Of course lots of people would whine and b*tch about it, but when they got the chance themselves they all went for the mega-electrocution also. Most people didn't understand you had to swim up again after getting the LG so you got as many people in your line of sight as possible though, so they screwed it up mostly. If you did it right and waited for the right moment (water camping I guess) you could score 6 or 7 kills with one discharge at least. Title: Re: which weapon is better? Rocket Launcher, railgun, lightninggun, chaingun, and shotgun. But I prefer shotguns, railguns, and lightningguns. oh yah and the BFG10000, IS good..... if ur a scared of everyone.

For example on oasago2 it's just luck if you spawn on the platform so if you grab a rail, and as rail just pwns everything when other weapons are out of range it's no nice fair match.
