Post by: feLiZ_naVidAD on April 08, 2010, 11:51:40 PM
Is anybody aware of when is the new patch going to make it into the debian sid?

I'd say you should ask the Debian Games team. Game devs cannot influence it much, i think, only by notifying the Debian Games team as well :)
Even Ubuntu Lucid has the 0.8.1.

BTW, nice to see you, feliz.

well ubuntu basically just repackage debian stuff...

I just happen to find the bug related http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=573995

At least the guy in charge knows about it ;)
Id love to help them to package it since ive already packaged some stuff, but i lack the time right now to do it properly :(

...maybe for 9.0 :D

btw, hey meng ;)

I use debian lenny, and package in lenny is outdate and I decided to create new packages of openarena 0.8.5.

For try first add in /etc/apt/source.list :
Code:
deb http://www.debian-world.com lenny main contrib non-free

, and install game with apt-get :
Code:
apt-get update
apt-get install openarena openarena-server openarena-data

Note: If there is significant interest in the squeeze and debian sid I will build packages for squeeze and sid.
