Title: DP NEW SITE Post by: Wiiyamoto on April 13, 2010, 04:49:25 PM Hey everyone! DP has got a new clan website. www.team-dp.webs.com
Please feel free to register and join our forums! NOTE: If you registered on WB Team's OA Challenge last year.... you may use that log in to register to our site! :D Hope to see you all on the forums :) Title: Re: DP NEW SITE Post by: RMF on April 14, 2010, 07:18:01 AM From the femmesfatales website should work too btw :)
The theme looks nice, only a bugspot (though you prolly can't change it): I can see all topics in the new topic list even if they are in the private section of the website. I can't open the topic (no permissions), but I can see the title. Title: Re: DP NEW SITE Post by: MIOW on April 14, 2010, 10:52:36 AM There's well known Q3 and QL CTF clan called DP (drugs & porn) :P
Title: Re: DP NEW SITE Post by: Wiiyamoto on April 14, 2010, 02:32:31 PM Thanks RMF! Yeah I'm trying to find out how to fix that little problem. I'm still learning the new interface :) also dp isn't involved in q3 or ql xD. We have no interest in being a clan in those games :B
Title: Re: DP NEW SITE Post by: Wiiyamoto on April 14, 2010, 05:19:50 PM And by that I mean it has no effect on us if another clan is named that from another game :P
Title: Re: DP NEW SITE Post by: Wiiyamoto on April 14, 2010, 05:20:53 PM And I cant seem to figure out how to make those forum posts not show up on the update bar. I dont think it is a big deal though :B
Title: Re: DP NEW SITE Post by: Cacatoes on April 15, 2010, 04:01:20 AM Do you have access to the PHP code of this update bar ?
If so, some SQL clauses you'd have to add to the request which gathers results would do it (adding something like "WHERE id_forum !=7"). If not, I'm not sure you have settings for this. This is usually why using an open CMS is a better solution.. Quote And by that I mean it has no effect on us if another clan is named that from another game IIRC brand names don't conflict provided each has a different kind of activity/market. As always, law subject to heavy interpretation, and I don't specially advise you to follow its recommandation :PTitle: Re: DP NEW SITE Post by: Wiiyamoto on April 15, 2010, 11:13:24 AM Do you have access to the PHP code of this update bar ? Title: Re: DP NEW SITE Post by: RMF on April 15, 2010, 01:09:23 PM There is no way, you can only script clientside with webs. I liked webs for the easyness, you can just setup everything quite easily and it's really straight-forward. Good for temporary things like some event or a web1.0 (not really interactive) website. Though if you want more, you really gotta find another host. (or at least put a forum in an iframe or link it instead of using webs' one)

Though if you want more, you really gotta find another host. (or at least put a forum in an iframe or link it instead of using webs' one) I understand...but for us...its really all we need! Just a forum to communicate back and forth about matches! Most of us are friends on facebook anyway....and are buddies on AIM...so getting in touch is not just limited to the forums! The website is for us to organize matches and have other clans contact us. It's not really made to be the best forums! I also find it more cosmetically appealing than most forum sites such as ucoz and the lot. Then there is no problem ^^Title: Re: DP NEW SITE Post by: Wiiyamoto on April 16, 2010, 02:32:32 PM :D and you are in IO correct?
