Been censored, so I can't read and know how rude.
You can get satisfaction from the fact apparently it helped fromhell to decide for a release date.
While harassing people about the same matters can appear to be rude too, or you have to make it in an intelligent way, usually it's better to think twice before opening a new topic.

Yep, because, otherwise... bad things can happen (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WhyFandomCantHaveNiceThings).

I don't think there were rude comments. Fromhell closed that thread because such topics upset her (him?): she (he?) loses motivation when certain kinds of comments or feedback are provided (e.g. when people does not appreciate the work). In this case, the question Swaggerall did seemed nothing offending to me, anyway Fromhell probably thinks that talking about timing is a think that makes... losing time... and decided to cut short there.

I think Swaggerall meant that the sudden closure was "rude", not words.

Imho the idea of making a FINAL release within two weeks is an error... considering that there are months of work to do! I prefer "when it's done" than a rushed thing...

Anyway, let's try to do not spread the same things along many threads, let's use only one: http://openarena.ws/board/index.php?topic=4324

Maybe a better brain to not just parse but read the descriptions?

maybe you should learn to read and not stir issues?

Thank you for your kind thoughts, but I doubt I have the troubles with understanding the forum descriptions. They look completely clean here.

The point is... you don't notice that what are you doing is not good but bad. Hasting development process will just degrade the resulted quality. Especially when there is a not visible development decision about what branches will go forward (read 0.X branch should be continued or the 3.X branch should be cared alone).

Building community... well, there is one already, being open for anyone. And let me think like my favorite German programmer; if there are lot of people who are wondering what's with the release date... where are those people?
