i added it as an external link

Some days ago someone removed the clan list from our wiki page, placing only a link to that forum, instead. Today I noticed this and restored the list (link to that forum is still available in the "external links" section).
The invite is to keep updated the list (at least with the active clans) also directly on the wiki, a place where anyone will ever be able to make updates, while that forum thread relies on your work only for updating infos in the first post.

Yeah that removal was unneccessary, it's like defacing+site advertising in one swoop.

Clan rooster
Now about that chicken mode I was saying...

True but you can help update the wiki so it's accurate.

I don't think that modify could be classified as "website defacement", or as a vandalic edit. All the rest of the page (explaining what a clan is, etc.) was still there... only the list itself was turned into an external link. And without bad intentions, I suppose.

Please, remember: nothing against you when I restored the "local" list... simply, the wiki is more adapt than a forum to keep a such list. If you can keep clan list on that forum up-to-date, you can do the same thing in the wiki in few minutes.
Good work! :)

We're fully aware that you know exactly what you want and that you have no inhibitions in realizing your desires. Your problem is that you don't take other people's intentions into consideration, you either ignore other people's opinions or you treat them like idiots because they don't agree with you. It's almost funny to see how you're so utterly blind to other people's feelings and needs that you just can't understand why you constantly get into conflict with them, if it weren't for all the escalating controversies you create and the communities you destroy by alienating the hell out of them and out of yourself.

First Toxicity, now Cacatoes and you still don't get it. You've either got a disorder in the antisocial and/or the autistic spectrum, or you're going through the worst prolonged puberty in recorded history.

I'm not getting with your program just because you want me to, you'll have to convince me first and you can't do that by calling my opinion irrelevant, that's just more of that super counterproductive alienation stuff of yours I was writing about before.

You annoy me because you come waltzing into an existing community and expect everybody to go along with your luminous ideas without even bothering to reveal them up front. If you want to be appreciated in a community it's not only about what you do but also very much about how you go along doing it, you have to learn to deal with other people and not just push your own agenda regardless because that will get you nowhere in the long run.

...

Ok, what other pointless insulting defense do you have for defacing an article section with a plug for your site's forum topic about a list of clans?

@swaggerall

The list you made on your clan's site is your clan's. Nobody will go to your clan's site to look for OA information unless they're interested in your clan. Most players go to the OA site and expect information on the OA wiki. Therefore, you removing the list from the wiki page and replacing only with a link to your site could be considered as a defacement. If you wanted to do something, you could keep the wiki list updated too, since it's mostly a copy-paste job.

I don't want you to stop posting at all. All I want is for you to not stir up some kind of trouble every few weeks.

I reckon you're not behaving antisocial on purpose, but you have to at least try to take other people's feelings and opinions into consideration if you want to exist in a community. If you keep on behaving like this around other people you won't get any respect but they'll cast you out into social isolation sooner or later because you behavior is socially corrosive.

This all stuff makes me think how could he still been in a clan with such manners and thinking. If I'd be a clan leader I'd kick him out in the first place.

Swaggerall, you remind me of an old joke. And this pretty much sums up why people dislike you... reasonably.

Driver: "What one? All are!"

In some clans/teams, in-game performance > in-game sportsmanship > out-game behaviour. You'd be surprised of the amount of jerks you can find in a competitive clan, especially in more populated games such as HL:CS and Quake Live.

If you're a top notch pro or semi-pro you're allowed to be eccentric or even a jerk (nature often compensates overachievement in a certain field with sub-standard achievement in other fields, and these guys are the idiot savants of gaming). However, this doesn't mean you have to behave like a jerk to become a world class player; you've got to have a competitive spirit, but if that leaks over into other parts of your life you'll just wreck yourself mentally and even physically because it inhibits your ability to switch off and relax, which is vital if you want to achieve to the best of your abilities.

If you can't control your adrenalin flow (i.e. rage, frustration and impatience) off-game, you certainly won't be able to control it in the extremely stressful final rounds of a high-staked tournament.

Edit: typos

Of course. That's why i've said "some clans" and "a clan", which doesn't mean that all clans behave that way.

Personally, and as I've said in another thread before, I prefer the "Ryu"-like players (good players, but with good sportsmanship) over the "Adon"-like players (good players, but with bad sportsmanship) or the "Dan"-like players. (bad players with bad sportsmanship)

bad but good sportmanship? XD
