Title: using openarena in a german movie Post by: matzeihnsein on May 20, 2012, 08:51:06 AM Hello all together,
my sister is a director and she´s working on a movie (http://www.presseportal.de/pm/7840/2253592/drehstart-fuer-tore-tanzt-koproduktion-von-zdf-das-kleine-fernsehspiel-mit-julius-feldmeier (http://www.presseportal.de/pm/7840/2253592/drehstart-fuer-tore-tanzt-koproduktion-von-zdf-das-kleine-fernsehspiel-mit-julius-feldmeier)) she wants to use a game played in background in one scene. is it possible to use openarena without getting in trouble with the license? i know that openarena" is under GPL but i am not sure because it is a commercial movie... Thank you in advance -- matze Title: Re: using openarena in a german movie Post by: dbX on May 20, 2012, 11:44:25 AM GPL does not cover the output of a program, which would be a video of the gameplay. You won't have any problems using OA in a background scene.
