Title: OA open sourse Post by: DinkyDogg on February 14, 2007, 02:51:09 AM hi, im new to OA, but im interested in moddin it, for like inst-unlagged and stuff, so im wondering, is it open source yet? if so can someone give me the site for the source code?
Title: Re: OA open sourse Post by: kit89 on February 14, 2007, 03:55:39 AM Yes its OpenSource...
Source code can be found here www.openarena.ws/svn Title: Re: OA open sourse Post by: DinkyDogg on February 14, 2007, 04:33:51 AM ok this is confusing, it would be easier if the web masters put up a zip folder with a build.bat file that created the source code, ready for C++ programming

OR You could go ahead and learn C first. It's not written in C++, and also if you knew half of what you were talking about you'd know how to 'work it'. Not meaning to discourage you, just, get with the program! You're acting like you know more than the OA guys and expect them to do better when you don't know nothing yourself! :P Title: Re: OA open sourse Post by: tuppe666 on February 15, 2007, 03:27:09 AM or you could be nice.
His questions come across as arrogant, but it might be bad post. There is no reason why the *released* versions should not be wrapped up in an archive preferably using Bzip2. I'm pretty certain you can use SVN from explorer but its so long since I've used windows. Title: Re: OA open sourse Post by: Blaenk on February 15, 2007, 05:36:25 PM That would be TortoiseSVN, and he never said he was using Windows either. And yeah you're right, but you could easily check out the svn too, build an archive yourself, etc. Maybe export it to avoid all the svn specifics.
Title: Re: OA open sourse Post by: tuppe666 on February 16, 2007, 10:25:07 AM I guessed he was windows by him wanting zip files...and a .bat, but then I'm Sherlock Holmes, see how arrogant I sound and I'm a little princess. Again archives for releases, SVN etc for development.
