Title: Single player mode video sequences
Post by: cdavid on June 05, 2014, 08:00:10 PM
In quake III revolution, single player mode, on the first map on each tier, there were these short video sequences where the camera moved and vadrigar would say some stuff.
Heres a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxXeti5M-Wo

I was wondering if this kind of thing could be implemented in future versions of OA.
I found it an entertaining part of the story in single player mode.

It's possible and there's some info (http://rfactory.org/camerascript.html) on how to implement such a thing.  Whether the game needs it or not is another thing altogether, since it's not a critical feature to have ATM...

It's even already possible to implement that boss battle - a lot of clever botclip and button-triggered platforms can control the opponent into appearing in the arena, and OA already has an equivelant to Survival mode.

Thats cool. Its good to know there is a way to add the features.
I agree its not really a good thing todo at the moment.
