Title: Name Colours Post by: Somberfire on August 07, 2007, 07:46:58 PM Hey everybody! A friend has recently told me about OA, so I finally got around to playing it and all I have to say is WOW... major props to everyone that made this game, because it is a brilliantly visceral fragfest. I'm mainly a UT player, and haven't played many Quake games, but now I really want to play the original Q3A to see what all the fuss is about :-] .
*ahem* I do have a question about the subject of coloured names. I've seen a few people with them, but I don't know how to make my name coloured. Sorry if it's a n00b-ish question, but I have no previous experience with Quake. Thanks in advance for the help! Title: Re: Name Colours Post by: w1zrd on August 07, 2007, 08:51:17 PM Hey everybody! I'm mainly a UT player, and haven't played many Quake games, but now I really want to play the original Q3A to see what all the fuss is about :-] . First, welcome to the game. Hope that you will have countless hours of fun with us :)*ahem* I do have a question about the subject of coloured names. I've seen a few people with them, but I don't know how to make my name coloured. Sorry if it's a n00b-ish question, but I have no previous experience with Quake. Thanks in advance for the help! As for the names, take down your console and simply type: /name "^1Somberfire" this will present you with this: Somberfire. The use of double-quotes lets you use spaces in your name and the use of the caret, or ^ followed by a number, is what brings color to your name. Black = ^0 Red = ^1 Green = ^2 Yellow = ^3 Blue = ^4 Cyan = ^5 Purple= ^6 White = ^7 |
