Title: LOD models exploding

this is weird (http://openarena.ws/shots/fun/toosexyforthisgame.jpg) when i turn around as Angelyss/dark

This also happens in the 0.7.0 release. Looks to be engine side or my video card since I never saw it explode on the md3 when imported in Blender

something is wacky

r_lodbias 1, cg_thirdperson 1, model angelyss/dark, tab, turn around standing

I've been getting similar problems with 0.7.1 while playing. Sometimes the Angelyss and Gargoyle models will explode for a brief second. After it happening 5 times in one round, I turned off my computer and inspected my video card, wondering if it was overheating. :x

Glad to see that it's a problem with the game, not my hardware.

I've re-exported the models with extra frames toward the end and they do not seem to explode anymore :S

How'd that, and the hair problem get overlooked, i do not know.

ok then I dont use that model or thirdperson but for now now I'll do my part in helping by finding more bugs

How'd that, and the hair problem get overlooked, i do not know.

Because there is next to little testing of LODs?  BTW the exploding LOD was caused by the hexedit fix of the missing material.

I hope so, I'm getting tired of having to spam "please change your model, it's buggy" whenever someone plays with angelyss...

you just change the shader path

dunno, but the "explosions" didn't happen until the lod's were edited to fix a missing material pre-0.7

this used to happened to me as well. then i tried with forcemodel and it disappeared - not a solution to the problem but a temporary workaround.
