Title: Plasma Weapon Post by: kit89 on March 15, 2008, 12:29:17 PM Reading the RoadMap it seems all the weapons are getting improved for the 0.8 release.
From peoples talk on the forum, they like the plasma weapon already implemented, just needs some improvements & less box like. So here's my changes. The weapon on top is the original model & the bottom is my improved one. You'll notice it's lsightly more round in areas & is less flat compared to the original. imo the plasma should be a bit fatter - in width. also i think the current nozzle looks like it's shooting bullets. don't really know how that would look - but the round metallic pipe looks like it's shooting bullets and not plasma cells. The main problem is that the old uv-map isn't really good. Talking to Enki on the matter & he suggests not to attempt to follow the old texture. Just create a new uvmap. I was going to re-model, entirely with a new design. However lei likes the old design, but wants it it improved. |
