I wonder, many games based upon q3a, e.g. ET, TC:E, and such allow the user to auto-download missing maps upon connection to a server. This doesn't seem to be supported in OA. It is off by default and so is it in all the games you mentioned. An extra problem is that you cannot restrict to only download maps, so a server admin can place an zzz_pak on a users computer making the game weird to the user especially if the user isn't aware. Some servers might choose to not enable it because there map pack is a single pk3 file and 100+ MB. Title: Re: Auto-downloading maps? Wot a pity that there's no one decent defrag server @ 0.7.7 atm :-(
