Title: CTF map plan - facing castles

Hi all!

I'm glad to be back after the difficult year at my university. It's holiday now, so I have some spare time that I can dedicate to creating OpenArena content.

I've had an idea for a CTF map for some time now and I think it's time to start planning. The map should be two gorges, each with a castle. Something like Moon Dragon in UT2004. The style would be European romanesque - something like czest1dm, but nicer and using more original textures and models. The layout would be two castles on hills, divided by a mountain or gorge (so that the castles don't see each other - for the sake of graphics performance).

I want this map to be representative. I want to plan a lot before mapping in order to create a top quality map that would be one of the best in OA, gameplay and graphics-wise. I want this project to spawn a handful of new map objects and textures that would be useful in other maps. I hence challenge everyone who would be willing to participate in this project to post suggestions and ideas, so that we can start planning.

It seems like I'm not the only one with the Unreal influence. :P

Do a 'remake' of "Facing Worlds" from UT99.

facing worlds is not facing castles - see, if you read his actual post you would notice the castles wouldn't see eachother

I'm busy with real-life things and working on an pseudo-adaptation of Q2CTF1 and another map for OA.
Also, my mapping skills aren't so good by now. :/

(I don't pay attention to details sometimes :/)
