1.Is there anywhere a definitive list of clans(that is constantly being updated with the new clans)?
2.Instead of the clans having to get their own domains, can open arena provide domains as divisions of their main site or wiki to the clans?

yeah like i already mentioned, I'm in a clan but this clan mainly plays another game, but soon we'll have enough OA players as well and we can have a look if someone will help us to create a OA league because we've obiously realized that here is no league yet ;)

Here's a list of the following clans out in Open Arena, that I'm aware of:

/V/alherus  - An old largely once very popular, experienced clan with a wide range of skill levels. Been around for over a year. Usually in ver.081 in the Nemesis server. This clan doesn't have a leader but it was founded by << ME >>.  [USA] http://valherus.ucoz.com

[PL]  - Latin clan with old Jack members in it. Mid-size clan with alot of talented players. Located in Nemesis server on ver.081. [USA]

/oaN/ - Very experienced clan with medium amount of players. Ragnorak & Gerbil are faces of the clan. It can be found in ver.081 in Nemesis. [USA] http://www.team-oan.com

ThD - Pretty experienced clan with a limited playerbase. BlakDragon is their leader. They have their own server on ver.071 THD server. [EU] http://thdclan.repage3.de

*j9* - From what I've seen, they're very good team, so good they are called cheaters/botters on many occassions. Limited playerbase with about 4-5 members. They can be found in ver.080 [EU]

EVIL| - From what I've seen, they play very well. EVIL|Panic leads this team. Quite experienced. IRC channel: #evil_oa@irc.freenode.net. Located in OA. ver.080 [EU] http://evilarena.de/

^6R^ - Don't know too much about them. Used to be CBS^. I believe its a European clan. Can be found in ver.080. [EU] http://6r-clan.org

*GPC* - Any information would be helpful . [?]

RN| - Lead by PopeJe. A very well known group and friendly people. They have alot of knowledge went it comes to OA. [EU] http://rainbow.furver.se/

=SC= - A popular clan called Spanish Clan that can be found in ver 080. I havent play against them much but they seem to play well. [EU] http://spanishclan.spruz.com/

[MUD] - Pretty good squad. Mostly on the ver.071. [EU] http://openarena.altervista.org

[CZ] - Not too much personally experience with them. Can be found in ver.071. About five members. [EU] http://standovicz.blogspot.com/

ITA - Any information would be helpful. [EU]

BRUTAL - A small unit of extremely good players, led by Odigo. Other members: Penna, Steger, Fonda. Rarely can be found in ver.071. [USA] DISBANDED

DOP - Small Itailian team - not sure of their skillset - but can be found in ver071. [EU]

^Dark - Small french team - not sure of their skillset - but can be found in ver080. [EU]

/taka/ -A mid-size clan led by Neji and Zero. Can be found in ver.076.[EU]

/VIP/ - Small Italian team - not sure of their skillset - but can be found in ver076. [EU]

[GNR] - Small team - not sure of their skillset - but can be found in ver076. [EU]

GoD - Small/Mid-size Team of about 7 members.  Nico77 & Schaf are the leaders. This is a primarly EU clan. They can be found in ver.081 [EU]


If anyone knows more clans out there...Let us know!

Can open arena help them with divisions of their main site or wiki to help spread awareness and help newly forming clans if we're all moving to clan based gameplay?

I think that if all the clans would be provided domains, it would be easier for their leaders to communicate and then schedule tourneys...how's that sound?

our pe clan has already a domain, but for now its only for the game world of padman, you leader is working on it to make it for OA as well... ;)

Set .homepage for it to show. I've intentionally included the words 'Clan homepage' so that when bots crawls it will find the key words for people searching for clans on the web. I will certainly visit the sites so get em in your config :D

I will also have a static .html version up and will try to push the clan names / urls to a few link directories. Well I won't, someone else will :D

Hitman, there's =SC= clan you didn't mention. I seen 4 members:
=SC=xnonix
=SC=Virus
=SC=Ciro
=SC=qwert

xnonix is the strongest among them. I saw them on 080 servers.

is the KKC a real clan after all that talk?

nice list hitman, well done :) you should probably add SC and KKC too. I guess there is also [CBB] that papahalv and juice are in, but I don't think that thats a real clan ;) I havnt seen any KKC, being that I havnt yet played 080 :( :(, but they seem to be a clan of casual gamers with a sense of humor.

yea, GPC, sory, i must get some informations to write them here, sory, but after a few days we will have webside, so I give link here.......in our clan it is difficult with communication, because all members have msn messanger, just me and Bitchx have ICQ or skype, so it is difficult take a understant.......but my friend does ws so there will be all informations......

And now i remember Dop clan, they are italians, playing version 071, they have only 3 members and leader is kyuuby (hope its right :))

It's going to be the original three (Penna, Steger, OdiGO) with our new addition, Fonda. I haven't talked to Phenax or Fork_ since before I took a hiatus a few months ago, so they aren't really members of the clan. OdiGO is the only one who has been playing in the past few months.

i think, recruit some members, create website or some other stuff using for communication between members and other players, write name of your clan here and actively play with your clan tags in arenas... :)

Other thing: i think, GPC clan doesnt exist more, because there is no player. Even Graf Brav and geroi, the last players are out now... leader of GPC (sexybitch) went to Australia to study for one year, she is out and GPC clan is out too....

they havent homepage, but i know many players are from Germany, mainly old skilled players from 071 version... In the most glorious times they had something about 10 members ;)

6r clan is a big clan.

On their member list, they only had about 5-6 members listed. I wouldnt classify as big. 10 or more is big.

Hey Hitman.  RN| isnt really a clan...  Rainbow networks is a community made up of mostly europeans.  They run quite a few servers for Open Arena.  I think according to their site the community collectively has 8 OA servers, 4 Q3 servers, 2 Warsow, 1 UT, and 1 Sauerbraten.  That is a lot to keep up and running.  They are pretty nice people.  Some of them own it up in FFA (eg. Jack Thompson)
