Title: white space in process name when starting oa_ded Post by: fufinha on November 08, 2008, 04:37:26 AM I get a space when I check the processes running on oa.. for eg..
/games/ oa_ded.i386 I think it started happening with 0.8.0 but causes problems with my games controller and mods. :S I've asked people but noone seems to know what's causing it or how to fix. Code: root: /games/openarena-0.8.1# ls -l oa* Title: Re: white space in process name when starting oa_ded Post by: dash9 on November 13, 2008, 08:52:43 PM Code: root:~# ps -ef | grep oa_ I'm running ./openarena-0.8.1/oa_ded.x86_64 and I also notice a slash missing: Code: $ ps -ef | grep oa_ What problem are you actually having, what doesn't work? Title: Re: white space in process name when starting oa_ded Post by: Cacatoes on November 14, 2008, 06:37:00 AM This dot could mean something like "your process is run inside a shell", which doesn't help you, but if you need to parse that I'd suggest you to drop what your script reads until it meets oa_ded.
Title: Re: white space in process name when starting oa_ded Post by: fufinha on November 14, 2008, 11:55:26 AM If I start 071 then it shows as: ./ioq3ded
When I put the full path in for 080+ it shows as: /games/ oa_ded.i386 I'm running debian and no other process is displayed like that :( |
