Title: Mapmaking Programs
Post by: Noob Sauce on November 09, 2008, 03:22:58 PM
I currently have Wings3d (I hate blender) and Dim3 (which is a seperate open-source engine project). I was wondering if anyone had advice for what other programs I need to build levels and the like. In particular i'm interested in making what i'm calling "Water Levels" for the moment.

Did you try GTKRadiant (http://www.qeradiant.com)?

As so am I.
Check the OA wiki when it's online again or ask google. There is a GTKRadiant 1.5 for OSX. You need to install X11 to run it. I recommend a recent version of blender to create some fancy mapmodels you can place in your maps.
