Title: Map Making/dumb question #1
Post by: Jeric Hikari on December 14, 2006, 12:53:22 AM
Just got the activation email so yea...time for the dumb questions to fly. Feel free to move any and everything I say to the nub subforum.

Now with that out of the way...I realize QA is an oldish game so its likely got some fairly decent mapping/modding tools available. trouble is I don't know where to look or rather who to talk to to get a collaboratives project going as I've never had much luck at the graphical end of things be it maps, modeling, or even textures. However as I'm not familiar with quake I'm wanting to at least give things a try before whining for somebody else to do the work for me(though that'd be nice as I have a few ideas....then again this is the internet, ideas are a dime per few thousand).

Final note: Thank you firefox for spellcheck built in!

Gratsi. Now to see if I can actually get either to do what I want 'em to do. Then again when it comes to actually doing the work...I'm on my own.

Great, its downloaded and on my computer. Trouble is dispite the fact I've updated windows's msi thing....it won't recognize the msi file as anything.

Mind you i'm running 98se, but that shouldn't matter? I installed the patch from microsoft to work with those files.
