Hi as posted as already posted on one thread we would like to organise tournament 2v2 Instagib style. For now I would like to know how many players(teams) would be prepared to play in this tourney.

Plan for now: If enogh teams would register we would have league + playoff mode of playing. First we would create groups in which teams would play one (maybe more) matches with every other team in group. Than first and second team (this may change) would go in to playoff.

In first part teams would play two maps of both teams choice (each team would choose one map). Scoring would be football/hockey/basketball like 3 points winner 1 point draw and 0 points loosers. Maybe even 2:1:0. In playoffs teams would play 3 matches (two teams chooice map third random???)

For now we would like to have at least informative registrations in this thread so we can se how much teams would be able to play and we would like to see suggestions about maps that will fall in to map poll from which teams can choose maps.

Please write any other idea that would make tournament exciting.

Other informations will be posted after initial plans are drawn. BTW if any of you would like to help orginising tournament pleas PM me. BTW we are looking for suggestions about admining the games :)

will this be ctf, or tdm?

as for the map selection, maybe have both teams agree on the first map, then having the loser pick the next map. Have it best out of 3 or 5. For the first pick, maybe you could have a set, predetermined map, like oasago2 for ctf.

For now we were thinking TDM instagib.

oh will it be unlagged for people such as Neon Knight? Unlagged doesn't make it completely fair, but it does help ALOT. You will get high pingers no matter what, as there probably will be people from EU and NA participating.

We are talking for now about servers but I think it will be unlaged avalible. More info will be avalible soon. :)

I think that best out of three will be used for playoff and best out of 5 for final. But for first part of tournament (league) there should be option teams to draw. Again if many teams would be for best out of 3 usage in first part I would be happy to apply that :)

I will play. If im playing against US players (im from uk) i will choose to play on a US server providing i get less than 400 ping

Some time ago i suggested to start 2v2 TDM tournament as a part of OA-CL.

But that idea wasn't popular enough. So i'm glad too see that it's reborned.

If teams will be sorted by players, not by clans, we can organize more than one team from our clan.

It is possible to organise two teams from same clan only thing needed is two players registered :)

We need as much teams as much teams as possible so tourney organisation will even make sense. Beware registrations coming fast :)

BTW even Solo players can register for tourney and than find partner on the page. So suit Up. I forgot to mention this tournament is about having old fashion fun so all teams good and bad, new and old are welcom to join.

If any of you have any expirience with orginizing any kind of tournament please msg me :) I need some info about stuff.

You can count me in... and if you fancy organising a 4v4 freezetag tourney/ladder to run along side I'd be entering that also :).

It is a good organizer for tournaments, it supports round robin, single elimination, and double elimination style brackets. Makes managing the bracket as easy as a few clicks :)

I like the idea and would like to join (no partner yet though).

Many players don't have partners jet so when you will register you can find lonley soul like your self on the page. More details will come :)

If I count poll plus guys I know there are 20 avalible players for this cup already. Official announcement is in writing.

For freezetag insta 4v4 format is better, because when you're playing 2v2 it's hard to unfreeze your teammate when you're alone and enemy is staying near him and camping. Then often you will prefer just to kill all of your enemies over unfreezing him.

For 2v2 is better non insta tdm.

I would play 4x4 or 3x3 too. I guess this would be more difficult to organise though for availability and gathering people at short notice. I suppose one good thing is if someone is absent or times out there can still be a game with less players

2vs2 insta ft yes i play (lookin for partner whois better then me)

3vs3 4vs4 ista ft /tdm can always be done along side it.

Dont change insta  into NON insta tdm please

For this tourney we can make up teamnames.
Every team creates own teamname.
strip all clantags.
for example:   Gummy bears vs The Meltpots
