- Redone teleporters
with some non-Free Q3-derived textures. Not committing.

Replacement plasma gun sounds, much less clanky sounding :D

Original OA plasma sounds were edited using Soundforge (Waves MetaFlanger)

more media.. rocket impact hit fixed which is also used for the grenade explosion. It may still sound a little close to the rocket fire sound but can adjust this if necessary

I cant help it if my sounds rock so much :/

I havent even played doom and if anyone finds one q3 sound I send them 100 quid. I spent alot of time on these :(

The rocket sound is actually using part of the shotgun sound which was time stretched and pasted/mixed over the OA sound, then graphic eq was used as well as the max bass plugin

I asked for those posts of mine to be deleted. :P
Also these had old versions, the new ones (the ones with the links :P) still are in the SVNC thread. I won't touch those maps until 0.8.2 has come or there's a very, VERY important issue like an unbalance that I didn't saw.

ok ok.. here is some 2 minute example of how I done the hyperblaster sound on my desktop - using the original OA plasma sound. It's a 15mb avi which I recorded in about two mins. The ones I submitted have variations of one sound pasted over the modified ones which give even better results.

I even had some of the sounds sounding very very close to q3 sounds, in which case I modified them to sound unique. If you actually try them on a map you will find they are wide ranging so you can hear more clearly who is shooting and the direction of the hits.

BS, they ARE Q3/Doom sounds. I don't trust you anymore. You're banned from submitting SVN commits!

it was several years since i played doom 1 & 2, but have to say that the "fstrun.wav" sound familiar. i played some videos on youtube that had the chainsaw but the sound effect does not seem to be the same. it's sounds so familiar that it's disturbing :D

the cocking sound of a shotgun is hardly a sticky point.  if you don't like it, don't use it.

the jacob's ladder sample i used for the lightning gun is public domain.  google it if you don't believe it.  that one is hardly rocket science.

the plasma and railgun sounds are purely synthetic, completely custom made using virtual synths.  those are the ones that i actually put a bit of time into.  they are not sample based, they are synthetic.

if you dont like or "trust" any particular sound, don't ignore the rest based on that crap.

but, hey, it's up to you.  i'm offering these for your benefit, not mine.
