I'm from JoinPGN.com and we've been hosting an OpenArena 0.8.1 server (http://joinpgn.com/servers-list/) for quite sometime now. We've also mirrored 0.8.1 and we'll be updating it as soon as we've been notified of a new version. Well that's it for my intro! I also noticed that OA doesn't have an installer and I'll be glad to make one for you guys.

What do you plan to use for creating installer? I know of NSIS (http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page) and WiX (http://sourceforge.net/projects/wix/) for Windows platform, not sure about Linux and OS X... I think it would be important to use a free tool in spite the fact that Openarena strives to be as derivative-free as possible... We will host game servers for free as long as there are members in our community willing to volunteer to help take care of it. I'll be using INNO 5 for the installer for Windows. |
