Title: oabattle mod

one of the rofl server is running a instagib mod that allows railjumping.
I downloaded the mod from the server, and i am now trying to find out how to allow the railjumping on my own server.

any clues?
It was really hard googling about this, so if anyone could give me a link to the documentation i would be helped.

I put it online for fast download from the server at www.zvdk.nl/oabattle (http://www.zvdk.nl/oabattle)
(these are the files i downloaded when connecting to the rofl server

well i tried what i think was in the manual

/g_instagib 2
/insta_railjumping 2

The first command seems to work, it says server changed g_instagib to "2"
the second command is like a say it doesnt get recognised.

A mate said it should be enabled by something like :
/callvote g_instagib 1.2.3

Corkscrew mod is another instagib mod only , but binary version is built against q3 1.27 q3 1.29h (*) and it has unlagged version 1.

I found the source code of the mod here : http://www.vgfort.com/dsplus/m.php?p=corkscrew216_source.zip

Maybe someone could be interested / have time to port some of its features in OA and/or to make the mod fully compatible with OA081 ( so to make happy some ppl that love playing this mod - no ... not me )

ok i did it.

Stupid mistake.
before i put the oabattle map in the openarena install dir
now i put them in my homedir in .openarena/
 
now it all works. rail bouncing and stuff

Would be awesome, so it could raise current OA instantgib mode to a higher level.

If you're trying to start an Openarena server with specific mod, you need to use fs_game command line option:

/var/oa/openarena-0.8.1/oa_ded.i386 +set fs_basepath /var/oa/openarena-0.8.1/ +set fs_game baseoa +set dedicated 2 +set net_ip 74.82.5.104 +set net_port 27960

In this case, fs_game is "baseoa" which is the regular Openarena. If you change it to "xbattle" and you have an xbattle folder in your Openarena directory, then that mod will be loaded.

What about the creation of an all-in-one separate section ( as missionpack ) for corkscrew , freezetag or any other instagib mod ?

Corkscrew , freezetag ... etc ... modes could be selectable as now Harverster , Overload .... etc  ... are selectable in the missionpack.

I want this as well. Now that I gave the idea of freezetag a blessing you might have a bit of hope!

I just need to make some shaders. like

'shiny ice 1'

'shiny ice red' (team game)

'shiny ice blue' (team game)

'drops of melting ice'

'ice break stuff'
