Title: broken sound in q3wcp1

If you go to the flag room, you should hear a nice water sound, but instead you hear noise. Any idea why it's broken, or how to fix it?

I've found it : it's sound/world/curnt2.wav ... nice water sound in Q3 but really a crappy sound in OA ... maybe who made it , has choosen/exported the sound with a wrong sample rate ... EDIT: definitely NO ... the sound is crappy also at higher speeds ... it sounds crappy , nothing like water.

It should be substituted with a better sound in the next version.

Unfortunately my old tape-recorder has FF & Reverse keys broken. :( Otherwise I would have brought some sound replacements...

(And my MP4 sucks at recording -.-)

This sounds like a water stream larger than the Q3 version, or at least has more echo, but sounds fine..

btw, I found a bug in that map.. if you leave the red flag room by the stairs, if you go up the stairs on the middle (there is a line :D ) the water sound stops playing at the 2nd stair, and starts again at the 8th stair. Does not happen in the blue base.. oO

Someone have to made a true replacement for that sound, anyways. I've found a sound-alike on pdsounds, but I don't know if lei agrees with these...

Are you joking? This water_flowing_pouring_trickling sounds very different than the Q3 version! To me it sounds more like a pee in a bucket sound than a water stream sound. :D

One similar to the Q3 version, of course, same length, and ideally same spectrum.
I only found "fast" water streams, or "large" water streams, none GPL. The original sound is a small water stream in a .. garden, which sounds a little different.

Ah, forgot about the current current noise.  That was done to shut the BEEPBEEPing up i think.

Try this, it's based off the pdsounds noise that was linked, thought it ends up sounding more suitable for oqplus instead
