Title: Scripting Difficulty?
Post by: Jeric Hikari on January 12, 2007, 07:48:29 AM
How hard is it to code for OA? I'm not talking about the engine itself but more how the game itself behaves(gravity, player wieght, how weapons act, ect). Asking because while I know little about coding itself I was able to do a few interesting things with tribes2's script files and wondered if there was any way of doing simmiler with OA as that would make my life a litle simpler when it comes to this mod idea I've been having.

Heh, it's C and that always scared me for game logic so I don't know because I never tried (outside of a tutorial of course). Potential memory issues always haunted me.

Ok....I'm gonna have to find somebody else to do that then, actual code scares me. Scripting language...not so much, but code odds me out, don't know why either.
