This way, you will not hurt yourself and, with \elimination_plasmagun 999 (default is 200), have infinite ammo. When you will be able to do good plasmaclimbs, you could try it in "standard" modes, hurting yourself.
If you don't want to use Elimination mode (or g_elimination option), you could also load a map with "\devmap mapname" command, then \god and \give all. I suggest to you to try also grenade-plasmaclimbing... it's nice! :) Title: Re: Plasma Climb in OA, how to? I watched the Quake Live video about plasma climbing, but Quake Live and Open Arena are two different games. best thing is to watch this: http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=485602530153341227# or download it here: http://www.quakeunity.com/file=2170 it is a rather complete (but a bit dull) n00bs guide to tricking in oa / q3 . it uses the defrag mod (there are quite some defrag servers for oa online) so you have some optical help while tricking or doing speedruns. so I'd advice you to watch the vid, then go to some of the online defrag -oa server, and ask for help. you will most liekly find some helpfull defraggers, giving you a hand :) have fun tricking Title: Re: Plasma Climb in OA, how to? Walk up to a wall and look down, so you are aiming just above the line where the floor and wall meet. Walk into the wall and keep pressing forward. Jump and press fire at the same time and keep them pressed. That's it. Move left and right by tapping (not holding) left or right quickly. Changing direction and the like are all about angles.
