Title: Video Recording
Post by: Hitchhiker on October 08, 2010, 11:34:15 AM
Hello,
I'm thinking of spending some time to try to add a video recording to the OA. It would record to some standard format like mpeg while a key would be held pressed (in game or during demo playback).
I haven't seen that this exists already?
My questions:
-would this be engine coding/modification and as such permitted?
-should I spend time on this (could be a good way of having more OA videos on Youtube and eventually increase playerbase)?
-does OA compile with Bloodshed DEVCPP?

Thanks!

Hi,
This feature already kinda exists.
Open the game console and check the /video command.
It's been brought by ioquake3 project some time ago.
Better used with demos rather than directly ingame, due to CPU/memory usage.

I don't know if OA builds with devcpp.
