Sorry about the skin. there will have to be some way to undraw the hook on the model when it fires

maybe make the hook a barrel model and have cgame omit it on fire?

That's the model for the already implemented (comes from Q3A itself) but unmodelled Grappling Hook.

Looks like a Quake 1 gun. :P

I got it ingame though i'm having a little trouble making a beam shader for it. i want to do a rope

This mod is dead since q3 is dead (like all the other mods for this game) ;)
but sometimes it helps to watch old sources before inventing the wheel again.
i hadnĀ“t in mind to refresh this project, was just a hint, where you could get some inspiration for your hook :(

it wasn't necessarily about the source (so battle of the sexist is irrelevant here), but more about painting a rope texture


i'll play with cgame and see what I can do about it

ok, i've messed with cgame and i'm happy with the technical results so far

will post a diff when i am able to make a diff...

(did other changes too like enhance gren/rocket/prox explosions for leienhancement)
