Title: Legacy hardware support
Post by: fromhell on April 01, 2012, 02:07:22 PM
Doe's  anyone have worse video hardware than this  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuDVQPrgF3k)?

If  so, please benchmark (timedemo 1; demo demo088) and provide result's !

640x480, any picmip you want, but demo088 only!

Feel free to provide result's  in this  post. Use that /gfxinfo and /condump command's  to get that on a text waffle.

If you us e vertexlight, that demo will force lightmap settings . This  is  OK, as  we're testing that standard base here.

We'd also like to congratulate Reaction for thatre release (http://rq3.com/?page=article&id=97)!

Ehm... IIRC, the name of the predefined 088 demo is "demo088-test1".
Anyway, I'm glad you used that thing for something. :-)

If someone wants more info about "timedemo" mode: (DO NOT LINK) h t t p s : / / openarena . wikia . com/wiki/Timedemo#Timedemo:_use_demo_as_benchmark

PS: these silly virus-like jokes (random characters -mostly spaces and '- appearing inside the text) that (you?) applied to the forum for april's fool just made me screw up my text while I was editing the post. I've had to fix it manually... D'oh!

SMF doesn't like censoring single letters with spaces well,

so caution to all those who editing there important posts like lists and instructions because the thingwill apply these edits,

This will stop tomorrow

Question: what is the screenshot above about? It does not seem from "demo088-test1" demo...
Bye!

It shows off pul1duel-oa without fixes etc.... in a more proper way for the card. Also it's a png and you can make out its dithering.

PowerVR had the best 16-bit dithering of any old 3d card then ;)
