who is going to play december all the way to april?

Well since 2008 everybody does that ! You're the first who see a problem over there...
Probably because you don't realize that in those 4 months, every teams will get only 5->7 matches only (so about 1 match every 2 weeks). If the period is so long, it's just to let the teams take their time to schedule their matches, and not to play every days for 4 months  ;)

Previous tournaments and leagues was much more long and difficult to play. Weird to read such reflection from a player who never participated to any OA event :)

December - March is good not to long not to short..

For two smaller clan's there is a limited amount of time, have noticed that in past tournaments :D
Gotta see if we get people on this...

Max 4 plyers per participating team/clan? Or is there any limit for players.

No there is no limit, just MINIMUM 4 players. Also the same player can not play for different clans :)


But ATM I'm looking for an organizator..

Second thought this is a good setup, i was looking at this from a point of view of it being long.

This is a nice string of events we are having in the OpenArena game community, this keeps the current players hungry for more in OpenArena and will let them stick around for further events.

In recent years its been the *WASP* & the supeR,bots running the events for OpenArena like the FragFest & the OAC's over the past years.

Maybe you guys could do something together at some point (when the *WASP* become more active again)
I have one question though, how come InstantGib wasnt included in the OAC2012?

I noticed in OA-CL 2012 that most of people was borred about Instantgib challenge. Also there was often a lot of NOT-interesting matches, camping for 20min and finishes 2-0 or something like that.
Also I disliked that ambience and too much complains about instantgib matches : as I was the one who give a lot of hours from his free time to organize all those events, I have chosen to not include Instantgib in OAC2012 (it was impossible to me to spend more time that I already spent).

When some insta-lovers noticed that there is no instantgib in OAC2012, they started to ask me for it. So I decided to make a new tournament for 2013 (which will, I hope, bring some motivations from players ;) and a lot of fun) especially on instantgib, and 3v3 which will make things more different than usually, and maybe less camping ?

Yeah less camping, quicker games & more chance of teams being in it since you would need what 4 (5)?
members to compete?
