Title: More emotions for OA3
Post by: cheb on January 16, 2018, 10:04:51 AM
I'd like to have a key binding for the "falling to death" scream, not just the default gesture  :shifty:
Taunt is fine, and I have it bound in quick access as it is one of the most important buttons, IMO, but often you need to express the opposite.
For example, you've been fragged centimeters from scoring, or see a guy running at you with both bfg and quad, or express how much you are scared of that pro who is pwning you like a wet kitten... There are lots  ::)

Also, may it be possible to bind "meme-faces" so that your head is replaced with a camera-aligned rageface, or trollface, or whatever - just make the crosshair disappear while this is on, or make it have a noticeable cooldown so it doesn't get abused  ::)

This part sounds a bit excessive to me. I may see it as part of a mod, but it would sound strange in the main game. IMHO of course!!!

That'd mean upping the poly budget for mouth and eyelids, dropping MDR for vertex morphs, while also killing the potential moving-hair idea I once had, not to mention the creative workload overhead when attempting to shoehorn expression animations on while looking weird with skin textures that are specifically painted for a single emotive state.

No, no! The *entire head* is replaced with a camera-aligned sprite billboard!
