Title: Information for noobs
Post by: lingenfr on June 03, 2007, 06:04:03 PM
Based on a suggestion on kubuntuforums, I checked out OA. Very nice. I played on some of the open/public servers, but quite a few seemed to be running maps other than the default ones that came with OA. Is there any central repository of maps or just this forum? This would seem like a pretty basic question. I would suggest that the admin post the answer as a sticky.

It's not a question at all if question marks are lacking. :P

I would suggest that the admin post the answer as a sticky.

I'd normally agree, but that's the most coherent question-lacking-a-question-mark post I've seen so I'm willing to let it pass. Unfortunately, I have nothing else to add anyway.

just switch on 'autodownloading' and any maps you dont have will download

(slowly more often that not!)

The list of links was helpful. The autodownload was also helpful, but it still does not seem to download everything from the old farts site. Don't know, but will keep trying. AC? Note the question mark.
