I made this for Tremulous originally, though there are lots of issues that prevents her from coming into OA

- she's animated after the tremulous marine (though a whole new armature and such from scratch) but the bones are animated closely to match the frames of the marine which used visor's biped
- she's too high poly, exceeding 4500 triangles (!)
- she's anatomically correct on mesh (heh)
- she exports iffy. the md3 exporter seems to really hate this one and stretches the export time to 5 minutes for one piece (!)
- she also has bad lighting normals if exported iffy too. a workaround is to import, remove doubles and re-export again :/ and you lose the sharp areas that are needed like the lips
- obvious intentional anime style being inconsistent, and also has a clashing likeness to Rei and Motoko

Is she based on the h-mesh you did recently? Because she looks similar, but quite detailed compared to the previous model if that's the case O_O

BTW, I think "miko" means "priestess" in japanese, so I don't know if the name fits very well.

also ot but dm3 has some serious framerate killing rain :/

Walk outside, get 10fps'd bad. And this is even under Windows.

I get between 35-45fps...

*sigh* I'll take the rain out.

[edit]:  removed the rain should run pretty good inside and out

On Topic - the model could go into the mascot series (just give her orange hair and an orange suit and voila you have firefoxy).

heh right now i'm improving my basemesh that miko was derived from, trying hard to get it to look 'right'

as in not looking like alien but looking like anime

Maybe someone could create an adult mod with nude skins and weapons that shoot various novelties and stds, like a condom gun that wraps you and suffocates you.

So over the top in terms of bad taist its a joke, one that would overshadow the actual development. :)


I do like the head but there's just something about the eyes that give me the creeps....
