Title: is there a script to make maps darker?

i've got a map that i need to make darker in game. is there a script that could do this?

If this were Quake or Quake2, yes because the lightstyles can be changed on the fly. Quake3 has no lightstyles (dynamic lighting on maps) so this isn't possible

that's a shame. i was playing some maps that were compiled for a different game and the brightness settings were radically different. i can drop the brightnesss, but that affects everything else, not just the map. i suppose i could extract the lightmaps and alter the brightness in gimp.

The darkness level in the map Kaos is quite sufficient as far as darkness v.s playability goes in my opinion, is this done by modified lightmaps/textures?

the sky is dark, that's why. I want a brighter sky for it though that bounces more. Kaos2 was supposed to be bright, but I couldn't compile it to test the sky
