vi, vile, vim, cream, emacs, xemacs, zile, ee, nano, elvis, joe, jed, jove, fte, gedit, kwrite, kate, and notepad all work fine.

uhhh...i didnt really get any of that  but i was more thinking more like programs?

They are programs. The only way to edit what the bots are doing, react to certain conditions etc, is to looks at the code using a text editor(one of the above will do fine).

Depending on your modifications depends on what you need.
