Q3 gameplay is okay... but wtf is up with OA's player models? It's like a random f'k of weird shit. I picture them being created by fat slobs who jack off to manga.
Quite accurate, actually Tongue

Personally I've never been a fan of slagging Open Source games. Especially ones that haven't reached the 1.0 mark yet.

I myself have never been a big fan of Urban Terrors game play. I guess I was hoping for it to be similar to Soldier Of Fortune 2 game play style & map design style, though sadly it's not. Sad

I would love to know which maps one of the users is referring too. I have been planing to improve certain parts of the oa_minia map. Adding more details and modified platforms to enhance & improve game play.

If they had any constructive criticism I would love to hear it. Smiley

Well they're a bunch of kids who only really care about bullets and bullets, what do you expect, respect for non-cs clones? It's not like we owe them anything for free, spare time work, for years since the Q3 source opened.

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

Having opinions are perfectly ok and I hear lots of good things about UT. I know server admins from there too who love q3, OA and UT. People can say what they want but I would prefer to hear genuine opinions and comparisons as I haven't yet tried UT. My isp sucks and never got round to downloading it Sad

Urban Terror is Great.  Download it today and jump on my server Evaporator's International Urban Terror FFA DM and give it a try.

OA is fast and arcadey like q3a...great game.

Urban Terror adds some Realism but not enough to kill game play or make it to complicated to have fun.  The weapons are based on Real Weapons, which is cool.  The main thing i really like about urban terror is the hit location system (ie, shoot at the head!)/

Try it you will like it.  I currently play Q3A, OA, UrT, and Warsow.

Urban Terror is very slow on my computer, and the hitcode is lagged, making it hard to aim. You don't have that much fun when you have a ratio of 1:6 and there are 5 teamkillers on the server because there is a bug with the teamkill-kick system which they may not fix.

I like AssaultCube so much more.

Yes.
Too, they have desert eagle in their game, i dont like that, because: if they want to make a reality like game, they should do it right!
